Repairs

As much as people love taking pictures, many of us are harder on our cameras than we should be and of course, accidents and manufacturer defects, though rare, do happen. If you have fallen victim to the litany of problems that can occur with both mechanical and technological camera equipment, we are here to help. Here's what you need to do:

• Bring your equipment in to the store and we'll help assess the problem. Sometimes it is a simple fix that we can do while you wait. If it does need to go out for repair, we take a $25 deposit from you if you didn’t buy the equipment from LG. The $25 will be applied to the repair cost if you decide to have your camera repaired. No refund is issued if you refuse the repair and is assessed as a shipping and handling fee. If you bought your equipment from LG, we waive the $25 fee.

• We ship out equipment on Monday afternoon or the following day if Monday happens to be a holiday.
• It usually takes around 2 weeks after we've shipped it out to get an estimate for the cost of the repair of the equipment.  We will contact you immediately on receiving this information and discuss your options. 
• Once you approve the repair we immediately contact the repair facility so that they can put it in line for repair.
• If you decline the repair we contact the repair facility immediately and they ship it back to us. Shipping times vary depending on the location of the repair facility that was required for your specific situation.
• As long as the repair facility has the parts the equipment needs, the total time you will be without your camera is 4 to 6 weeks. If you need a loaner in the meantime for a specific shoot, let us know and we'll see how we can work this out so that you aren't without a camera when you need one.
• As soon as the equipment is returned to LG from the repair facility we will call you to let you know it’s back and ready for you to come and pick up.

Sensor Cleaning

Have you been noticing funny spots showing up in your pictures from your DSLR? Chances are good that your sensor is dirty. Not to worry, we can fix that right up for you! Our sensor cleaning service is done in house by one of our experts. Just bring your DSLR into the store and we'll get it taken care of within 3 working days (Mon-Fri). The service cost is $60 regardless of how tough the job is (some sensor cleanings take only 15-20mins others can take hours). We take before and after photos so that you can see the results with your own eyes, but you'll probably notice the difference the minute you start shooting. If it turns out that we notice something other than dirt (like a scratch) when we open up your camera we will notify you immediately of the pre-existing problem and work with you for the best solution to your camera's issue. If you're more of a do-it-yourselfer, we do sell sensor cleaning kits, but please keep in mind that your sensor is very delicate and this is not a job for the faint of heart. An incorrectly cleaned sensor can lead to a very expensive repair.

Whatever your specific need may be, we have someone available to expertly help you get the result you seek. Just call or come by the store and tell us what you need and we will pair you with the perfect person to help you out. They'll set up an appointment time with you either in the store or we can travel to you!

Consultation fee is $100/hr plus travel. The first hour or any part thereof is $100, beyond the first hour of any single session time is billed out by the 1/4hr. Package pricing may be available if you know you will have an ongoing need for our services.

Printing and Processing

If you are looking for the finest quality printing, look no further. We have a number of options available to you for all your processing needs. Whether film or digital you can get the highest quality prints, scans, copywork, photo restoration, developing, dvd transfer and more right here at Looking Glass Photo. If you're in need of quick 4x6 prints on-the-fly we have an in store self-serve kiosk available. Or, for jobs requiring a little more technical involvement, we have three different labs that we work with as well as our very own in house digital print master. If you need to produce a picture we have everything you need to make your vision a reality. And once you've got that perfect print we have tons of frames, mounting supplies, albums and portfolios to put the final touches on your picture perfect presentation.
