Join us for an unforgettable morning photographing wildlife in the breathtaking Elkhorn Slough, one of California’s most spectacular estuaries. This unique experience brings together photography, nature, and expert guidance—perfect for those looking to experience the magic of Monterey Bay’s vibrant ecosystem.

A Three-Part Experience:

• Session 1 - March 10 (Monday at 5:00pm, via Zoom): Kick things off with a prep session where we’ll discuss what to expect, camera settings, and tips for making the most of our time in the field.
• Session 2 - March 16 (Sunday at 7:15am, On Location): The adventure begins! We’ll meet bright and early in Moss Landing to embark on a peaceful, 1.5-hour cruise through Elkhorn Slough aboard an electric-powered catamaran. While the wildlife we encounter is never guaranteed, we expect to see otters, sea lions, and a variety of bird species, all while enjoying ample space to move about and compose your pictures.  
• Session 3 - March 24 (Monday at 5:00pm, via Zoom): Wrap up the experience with an image review session, where we’ll celebrate our captures, exchange feedback, and relive the highlights of our excursion.

• Small Group Experience – We've chartered a boat just for us! We're limiting the excursion to only 12 photographers (on a boat designed for up to 32), ensuring unobstructed views and plenty of room to move.

• Location: Moss Landing, CA (approx. 2-hour drive from the Berkeley area)
• Departure Time: 7:30 AM sharp (arrive by 7:15 AM)
• What to Bring: Camera, binoculars, and layered clothing for changing coastal conditions

And if you loved being on the Slough and want more of it, you can rent kayaks after the group tour! Jen, one of the Trip leaders, is strongly considering doing just that and would welcome the company.
