Where do you ship?

  • We only ship with the continental United States.

What are your shipping services and rates?

  • We offer a simple flat price of $14.95 for orders under $150. For orders over $150, shipping is FREE.
  • We typically use USPS Ground with tracking.
  • All orders are packaged with care.

Returns & Refunds - Online Store

If you ordered something that isn’t quite right, we’ve got your back—just reach out within 10 days of receiving your order to request a return.

Once your return request is approved, you’ll have 4 days to send us the tracking number for your return shipment.

What’s eligible for return?

We accept returns on unopened, unused items in original condition—this means:

  • All packaging, manuals, and warranty cards are intact and unmarked

  • Nothing has been taped over, written on, or altered

  • The item is exactly as you received it

Opened or used items cannot be returned, as we guarantee all products we sell are brand new and in mint condition.

Refund Details

  • Refunds are issued for the product amount minus a 5% credit card processing fee and any manufacturer restocking fees (if applicable)

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable

  • Refunds are issued to the same card used at checkout

  • Most returns are processed within 3 business days of receiving the item

How to Return

  1. Contact us within 10 days of receiving your item to request a Return Authorization (RA) number

  2. Once approved, send us the tracking number within 4 days

  3. Write the RA number clearly on the outside of the shipping box

  4. Use a sturdy shipping carton (you can reuse the original box if it’s still in good shape)

  5. Include a copy of your sales receipt inside

  6. Ship it back using your preferred method—insured shipping is strongly recommended

Returns that arrive in anything less than original condition can’t be accepted or returned to you, so please pack carefully.

What Can I NOT Return?

  • Opened and/or used items.
  • Sensitized materials, such as film, photographic paper, liquid chemicals, batteries, inks, and any other product that has an expiration date.
  • Items received in anything other than original condition.

What If I Get A Defective Item?

  • If you receive a defective product, we will happily replace your product at no cost to you!
  • All defective returns must be made within 14 days of receipt of product. Full manufacturer warranties are supplied with merchandise purchased from Looking Glass Photo. Please call if you have any questions regarding the repairs or services covered under a manufacturer. We’ll help you through every step of the process.

What Can I Return?

  • We accept in-store returns up to 14 days from the date of receipt for all products that meet the following requirements:
    • Items must be unused and unopened.
    • Items must be returned in original condition, and all warranty cards, product manuals, etc. must be in original, unaltered condition.

What Can I NOT Return?

  • Opened and/or used items.
  • Items received in anything other than original condition.
  • Sensitized materials, such as film, photographic paper, liquid chemicals, batteries, inks, and any other product that has an expiration date.
  • Items purchased more than 14 days prior to return/exchange date; anything after 14 days will be handled at the discretion of store management

Will I Get A Cash Refund?

  • We provide refunds in the same form of payment you used when originally completing the purchase. For cash purchases, we do offer cash refunds.

How Do I Take Advantage of Manufacturer Warranties?

  • If you have a problem with your equipment Looking Glass Photo will send it to the manufacturer for you. We will need your receipt and warranty paperwork. Should you misplace your receipt, Looking Glass Photo may be able to reissue it, as long as the information still exists in our computer system.
  • If you did not purchase the equipment at Looking Glass, we may still be able to handle your repair (please contact the store for current details regarding your specific situation). If the manufacturer detects any indication of moisture, dirt, shock, misuse or other problems not detected when left off for repairs they will void the warranty.
  • While the manufacturers do not make any accommodations for loaners, Looking Glass may be able to arrange low cost/NC rentals. If you have any questions about these policies, please contact us for more information.

Can I Return Special Orders?

  • Looking Glass Photo policy is that special orders are final, with the exception of manufacturer defects within the item’s warranty period. However, this is at store management discretion. Should you wish to return or exchange special ordered item, please call Mike to discuss the situation: 1-510-548-6888.

Do you ship same day?

  • Web orders are shipped the next business day. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ship on Monday. 

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

  • Yes, we do! We use USPS for deliveries to PO Boxes.

Do you ship weekends?

  • We do not ship weekends.

How long will it take to receive my order?

This depends on the shipping service and where your shipping address is located. Looking Glass Photo is located in Berkeley California, so West Coast shipping addresses will receive orders more quickly.

  • USPS orders typically require 4-9 business days for delivery.
  • UPS can take up 7 business days, depending on your shipping address location.
