The tradeoff: it usually takes longer than a direct sale, and payment comes after the item sells and the 30-day warranty period has passed.

You may keep your gear until it sells, but we recommend bringing it to Looking Glass so potential customers can see it firsthand. It's your choice.

Selling through Looking Glass means your gear gets expert attention, visibility through our trusted store, and personal support throughout the process. All sales are completed with our 30-day Warranty, providing the purchaser peace of mind. Here's the overall process:

1. Submit Your Gear for Consideration
Use our quick Online Consignment Form to tell us about the item you’d like to sell. You’ll upload photos, describe its condition, and include any other relevant details.

2. We Review & Help with Pricing
If it’s a good fit for our online assortment, we’ll reach out with pricing guidance based on current market value. We want your item to sell—so accurate, fair pricing is key.

3. We will inspect & confirm condition
For most items, before listing, we’ll arrange a time for you to bring the gear in for inspection. Our team will test the item and confirm that its working condition and appearance match your description.

4. We Handle the Marketing & Sale
Once verified, we’ll write the listing, photograph the item (if needed), and promote it across our website, email newsletters, in the store for qualified purchasers and occasional social media posts.

5. We Manage the Transaction
We take care of selling, customer questions, and the delivery process. If we ship the item, it will ship fully insured to protect your investment until it reaches its destination.

6. Buyers Have a 30-Day Warranty
We stand behind what we sell. All used gear comes with a 30-day warranty, allowing the buyer to report any mechanical or optical issues with the gear.

7. You Get Paid
Barring any issues, we’ll pay you the sum of the sale price minus our 30% consignment fee (reduced to 25% if you elect to receive a store credit in lieu of a check), after the 30-day Warranty period has passed.
