Looking Glass Photographic Outfitters Return & Refund Policy
At Looking Glass Photographic Outfitters, we want you to feel confident about every purchase you make with us. We stand behind the products we sell, and we do our best to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. If something isn’t quite right, we’ll work with you to make it right—within the guidelines below.
When You Take Delivery of Your Order
Please inspect your order promptly upon delivery. Keep your receipt, and don’t fill out warranty cards until you’re certain your merchandise is in brand-new condition and that everything you ordered is present. Retain all manufacturer packaging, accessories, and documents until you’re sure you’ll be keeping the item.
If you receive the wrong item, a damaged shipment, or something defective, contact us right away at shop@lookingglassphoto.com so we can help.
How to Request a Return
For online purchases:

Email shop@lookingglassphoto.com with your order number and reason for return to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.

We’ll provide return instructions once your request is approved.
For in-store purchases:

Bring your item, receipt, and all original packaging to our store within the return period, and we’ll walk you through the process.
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll let you know if it’s been approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to process the refund.
Defective Product Returns
If your purchase arrives defective, we will gladly replace it at no cost to you. All defective returns must be initiated within 7 days of receiving your order.
We are not responsible for issues caused by misuse or failure to follow manufacturer instructions. Manufacturer warranties apply to many products; contact us if you need help with a warranty claim.
Unopened Product Returns
If you purchased the wrong item or changed your mind, unopened and unused items may be returned within 14 days of receipt for a refund or exchange.
Refunds will be issued for the product price minus:

5% credit card processing fee (kept by our processor)

Any manufacturer restocking fees that apply
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Items must be returned in original, unused condition with all manuals, warranty cards, packaging, and accessories intact. Items returned in less-than-original condition will not be accepted or returned.
Opened or Used Products
Because we guarantee our products are new and in mint condition (unless otherwise noted), we cannot accept returns on opened or used merchandise.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:

Light-sensitive goods (such as film, darkroom papers, etc.)

Custom products (including certain special orders)

Hazardous materials or flammable liquids

Gift cards
If you’re unsure about your item, contact us before purchasing.
Refused Shipments
If an order is refused upon delivery, applicable restocking fees, credit card fees, and all shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
Time is of the Essence
Returns must be requested within the timeframes listed above. Late returns may not be accepted.
