Agreement to Terms

By accessing Photo Friends by Looking Glass ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

Membership

Membership Tiers

Photo Friends offers membership through our Shopify store. Active membership is required to access certain features including:

• RSVP to photography activities
• Direct messaging with other members
• Submitting activity proposals
• Full access to interest groups

Payment and Billing

• Memberships are billed through Shopify
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• Refunds are handled per our refund policy
• Failed payments may result in membership suspension

Grace Period

If your membership expires, you receive a 7-day grace period to renew before access is restricted.

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must be 18+ to create an account
• Provide accurate and complete information
• One account per person
• Keep your login credentials secure

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Code of Conduct.

Content and Conduct

User Content

You retain ownership of content you post, but grant us a license to:

• Display your content on the platform
• Use for promotional purposes (with consent)
• Moderate and remove inappropriate content

Prohibited Content

• Illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• Harassment, hate speech, or bullying
• Spam or commercial solicitation
• Copyright or trademark infringement
• Personal information of others without consent

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content and take action against users who violate our policies. This includes warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.

Photography Activities

Liability Release

All members must sign our Release of Liability before participating in activities. You acknowledge that photography activities carry inherent risks.

RSVP and Attendance

• RSVPs are binding commitments
• Cancel at least 24 hours in advance when possible
• No-shows may affect future RSVP priority
• Wait-listed members have 6 hours to claim spots

Activity Hosts

• Hosts are volunteer community members
• We screen submissions but don't guarantee activities
• Hosts are not employees or agents of Looking Glass

Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Photo Friends platform, design, and branding are owned by Looking Glass Photo. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property.

Member Photos

• You own your uploaded photos
• By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive license
• You affirm you have rights to all uploaded content
• We may use member photos for promotion (opt-in)

Disclaimers

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

Looking Glass Photo is not liable for:

• Injuries sustained during activities
• Loss or damage to equipment
• Interactions between members
• Third-party services (Shopify, etc.)
• Data loss or security breaches

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Looking Glass Photo from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

Dispute Resolution

• Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
• Governed by California law
• Venue: San Francisco Bay Area

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
