Find Your Photos. Fix Your Workflow. Free Your Creativity.
If you’ve ever opened Lightroom Classic and felt overwhelmed—folders everywhere, missing files, duplicates, thousands of images you know you took but can’t find—you are absolutely not alone. And you’re exactly who this class is designed for.
This hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop teaches you Reid Thaler’s proven system for building a clean, confident, and reliable Lightroom Classic workflow—a system he’s refined over decades and taught to photographers across the Bay Area.
Rather than guessing your way through flags, stars, Collections, and keywords, you’ll follow along step-by-step as Reid shows you exactly how working photographers stay organized for the long haul. Over two sessions, you’ll learn the core habits and tools that make managing your photo library simple, consistent, and stress-free.
If you’ve dabbled with Lightroom Classic but still feel scattered or unsure, this is your chance to reset and finally put a workflow in place that actually works.

Who This Class Is For
Photographers who are new to Lightroom Classic or anyone who has used it casually and feels disorganized, overwhelmed, or unsure.
If you already know the Library module deeply and want advanced troubleshooting, this class isn’t the right level—but we’re happy to recommend next steps.
How the Class Works
This workshop is split into two sessions so you can learn, practice at home, and return with questions. You’ll follow along with your own laptop as Reid demonstrates his workflow live, giving you the structure and repetition needed for the process to truly stick.
Bring:
-
A laptop with Lightroom Classic installed
-
A basic understanding of creating/moving folders on your computer
-
Your image library (or a practice set of images)
-
A notebook and pen
-
Your lunch or a plan to grab something nearby (you’re welcome to eat in the classroom!)
Before Class:
Decide where your images will live—a dedicated external hard drive (2TB or more) is ideal. Lightroom Classic is part of Adobe’s Photography Plan (about $13/month).
