Rediscover analog with a modern twist—this sleek half-frame compact lets you shoot 72 vertical-format photos on a standard 36-exposure roll. Pocketable and lightweight (just ~290 g), it's the first new film camera from Pentax in over two decades, built with a magnesium alloy shell and easy, tactile controls for creative spontaneity.

Key Features

  • Half-frame format (17 × 24 mm) gives you 2× the exposures—and encourages messaging-style diptychs.

  • Fixed 25 mm f/3.5 lens (≈37 mm full-frame equivalent) delivers crisp, vibrant shots with character.

  • Zone-focus system with six icons—from macro (0.24 m) to infinity—makes focusing intuitive and fun.

  • Exposure modes dial including full auto, program, bulb, slow-sync, and even a “Bokeh” mode for creative depth of field.

  • Bright optical viewfinder with framelines for easy composition in any light.

  • Built-in flash, ISO dial (50–3200), manual film advance & rewind—no smartwatch required.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Compact & reliable: Built solid but easy to carry—ideal for everyday shoots and travel.

  • Cost-effective film fun: You get twice the photos per roll at half the cost—perfect for documentary and casual shooting.

  • Creative flexibility: Zone focusing and semi-auto modes let beginners get great shots, while playful controls entice enthusiasts.

  • High image quality for half-frame: Combines crisp lens design and reliable exposure—users report “amazingly crisp” results.
