Amber T200 Color Negative Tungsten Movie Film

35mm, 27 Exposures, Single Roll

A tungsten-balanced movie film with cool daylight color and cinematic character.

Amber T200 is an ISO 200 color negative movie film prepared for use in standard 35mm still cameras. Its tungsten color balance is designed for warm artificial light, making it an interesting choice for nighttime streets, interiors, concerts, neon, and portraits under continuous lighting.

Shoot it in daylight and the palette shifts toward cool blue and violet tones. Under tungsten lighting, colors become more natural while retaining the softer, cinematic character associated with motion-picture film.

The original anti-halation layer has been removed, allowing T200 to be processed in standard C-41 chemistry and creating the possibility of a subtle glow around bright highlights.

The Looking Glass Take

T200 rewards photographers who think about the color of the light around them. Use it under tungsten lighting for a more balanced cinematic palette, or take it outdoors when you deliberately want cool blue color.

We especially like it for neon, evening streets, stage lighting, diners, concerts, and portraits made under warm household or studio lights. This is an experimental film with a recognizable look, so it is best chosen for its color personality rather than completely neutral results.

Exposure, processing, and scanning choices can all influence the final color.
