Load a pack of instax mini film, twist the lens to turn the camera on, frame the moment, and press the shutter. The camera automatically adjusts shutter speed, flash output, and other exposure settings according to the available light, helping produce bright, balanced instant photographs indoors or out.

Get Into the Photograph

The biggest addition to the instax mini 13 is its built-in self-timer, with both 2-second and 10-second options.

The 10-second setting gives you time to place the camera down and join a group photograph, step into a full-body portrait, or include more of the setting around you. The 2-second option is useful for steadier handheld selfies, reducing the movement that can happen while pressing the shutter. An illuminated lever makes switching between the two settings quick and intuitive.

The included camera-angle adjustment accessory works with the wrist strap to give the camera a gentle upward tilt when placed on a flat surface. Pair it with the 10-second timer and you can compose hands-free photographs without carrying a tripod.

Better Selfies and Close-Ups

A small mirror beside the lens helps you check your framing before taking a selfie. For closer photographs, twist the lens ring again to activate Close-Up Mode, designed for subjects approximately 12 to 20 inches away.

Close-Up Mode also activates parallax correction in the viewfinder, helping the finished photograph align more closely with the composition you saw when framing it. That makes it easier to center faces, details, food, flowers, and other nearby subjects.
