Kodak TRI-X Reversal Film 7266 gives 16mm filmmakers the unmistakable character of classic black-and-white motion-picture film. It produces a black-and-white positive original rather than a negative, allowing the processed film to be projected directly or scanned for digital editing and presentation.
Fast and versatile, TRI-X is rated at EI 200 in daylight and EI 160 under tungsten illumination, with no correction filter required. Its rich blacks, strong contrast, excellent tonal gradation, and distinctive fine-grain structure create images with depth, texture, and an authentically cinematic presence. It is well suited to documentaries, experimental filmmaking, music films, available-light interiors, and daylight shooting.
This 100-foot roll comes on a daylight-loading camera spool and is single-perforated with Winding B. Because reversal film has less exposure latitude than black-and-white negative film, careful metering is recommended. When properly exposed and processed, TRI-X delivers a striking positive image with exceptional sharpness and the timeless visual character for which the film has long been known.
