On Rose is a juried photography contest by Looking Glass inviting photographers to explore Rose as a flower, color, symbol, memory, place, community, transformation, or way of seeing. A physical rose does not need to appear in your photograph, but the connection to Rose should be visible and meaningful within the image. This page is where you choose your entry contribution. On Rose is Looking Glass Photo’s inaugural photography contest, and we are building it with the hope that it becomes the first of many contests, exhibitions, and creative opportunities for our local and extended photography community.
On Rose uses a sliding-scale entry model so photographers can choose the contribution level that feels reasonable for them. Your contribution helps cover the platform, administrative, presentation, and other costs involved in running a thoughtful, compelling, and enjoyable photo contest. The amount you choose has no effect on eligibility, judging, selection, or awards
One entry per person. One entry allows you to submit up to three individual photographs through Zealous, the platform we are using to collect and manage contest submissions. Each photograph must be submitted separately and assigned to one category.
After checkout, you will receive a Looking Glass Contest confirmation email with your Order # and a link to the On Rose submission form on Zealous. You will need that Order # when submitting your photographs.
The process is simple:
- Choose your contribution amount and complete checkout.
- Find your Order # and Zealous submission link in your confirmation email.
- Submit up to three photographs on Zealous before the deadline.
Entries close August 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
