Overview
The Peak Design Cuff provides a simple layer of security whenever your camera is in your hand. Compact enough to disappear into a pocket, it connects to a camera through Peak Design’s quick-release Anchor Link system and automatically cinches around your wrist if the camera begins to fall.
An anodized aluminum adjuster lets the loop remain open for easy access or tighten for a more secure fit. When the camera goes back into your bag, the Cuff can stay on your wrist, where an integrated magnet holds it neatly in place like a bracelet.
What It Does Well
The Cuff protects a camera without adding the bulk or movement of a full neck strap. Peak Design’s Anchor Link system makes it quick to attach or remove, so the strap does not need to remain dangling from the camera when it is not useful.
Each included Anchor is rated to support more than 200 pounds, providing ample strength for compact cameras, binoculars, and professional camera-and-lens combinations. The Anchor cords use a layered, abrasion-resistant construction that reveals wear over time, providing a visible indication when replacement is appropriate.
The loop’s automatic cinching action is especially useful when photographing one-handed, moving through crowds, working near water, or holding a camera outside a vehicle or overlook.
Who It’s For
The Cuff is a strong choice for street photographers, travelers, hikers, event photographers, and anyone who prefers to carry a camera in hand rather than around the neck.
It is especially convenient for photographers already using Peak Design straps. Anchors can remain installed on multiple cameras, allowing the Cuff, Leash, Slide, or Slide Lite to move quickly between them.
The Cuff can also secure binoculars, compact video cameras, rangefinders, and other compatible handheld equipment.
The Looking Glass Take
A wrist strap is not designed to carry a camera all day. It is designed to prevent the one drop that would ruin the day.
The Cuff does that job particularly well because it stays unobtrusive until needed. The loop is comfortable, the cinching action adds real protection, and the Anchor Link system makes removing the strap easy enough that it does not become another accessory left permanently tangled around the camera.
For prolonged hands-free carrying, a neck or cross-body strap remains the better choice. For photographers who want the camera ready in their hand with a dependable safeguard around the wrist, the Cuff is one of the cleanest solutions available.
