Overview

The third-generation RØDE Wireless GO makes it remarkably easy to record clear, reliable audio from two people without weighing down your camera bag—or your subjects. The compact system includes two clip-on transmitters with built-in microphones and a dual-channel receiver that connects to cameras, smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Each transmitter also records 32-bit float audio internally. That gives you a high-quality backup capable of recovering dialogue recorded too quietly or too loudly, including audio that would otherwise be clipped. Intelligent GainAssist helps manage levels while you work, making the Wireless GO equally useful for carefully planned interviews and fast-moving shoots where there is little time to monitor every adjustment.

What It Does Well

The Wireless GO combines a genuinely simple clip-on design with the safeguards normally associated with more elaborate audio systems. Its Series IV 2.4GHz transmission provides a line-of-sight range of up to 853 feet, while 128-bit encryption helps keep the connection stable and secure.

The transmitters can be clipped directly to clothing and used with their improved built-in omnidirectional microphones, or connected to optional lavalier microphones through locking 3.5mm inputs. The receiver offers flexible gain control, a safety channel, headphone monitoring, and both analog and USB-C connectivity. Each transmitter provides up to 40 hours of onboard 32-bit float recording, so an unexpected level change does not necessarily mean losing the take.
